I started making changes to the way I ran my business and I saw some big things happening. I was no longer struggling; I was charging what I was worth and attracting brides who wanted my services. And my business grew more and more each day.
One day I got a call from a bride wanting me to plan her wedding. She’d been following me for quite some time, so I told her that I charged $10,000 for the services that she was asking for….
“The next week I opened up my mailbox and there was a signed contract for $10,000 PLUS a check for the deposit and post-dated checks for all the payments.”
This client was the exact kind of bride that I wanted to work with. I had written all of my marketing specifically to this kind of bride and I attracted her and a big payday.

I have created my empire.
I love life, I enjoy my work but do not let it consume me. I’m able to take fantastic vacations to Ireland, Australia, Maui, and the Grand Caymans and my business keeps making money. I buy designer clothes and dine at fine restaurants. And I choose the conferences I want to go to and I go, not worrying about the cost.
I’m only in the 5th year of my business and last year I hit 6 figures by September and this year I hit 6 figures in May! I’m well on my way to a 7-figure business and that feeling ROCKS!

Hi, I’m Marley Majcher, The Party Goddess and my story is similar to Ciara’s in the sense that I’m also very familiar with the challenges of starting and growing my own event planning business.
First off, when I started out 17 years ago, I never had the time to market my business or The Party Goddess! brand because I was working 24/7.
So I got into the restaurant biz and loved most of it. I started our off-premise catering company in 1995 and then began gaining experience in planning events. And as anyone in the events industry knows, what happened was that,
“I started working and working and working and before I knew it, I was working ALL THE TIME.”

So I got organized. Very organized. I created a system and checklist for every single aspect of my business, and marketing my company finally became the big focus that it should've been all along. I really put my time and sweat into that end, and before I knew it, things clicked and I no longer had to dial for dollars or feel like I was constantly under the gun just to pay my rent or my cell phone bill.
I have produced notable events for the Hollywood Bowl, the Critics’ Choice Awards, luxury car manufacturers Porsche and Rolls Royce’s Bentley brand, as well as celebrations for Britney Spears, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall, Pierce Brosnan, Katherine Heigl, Snoop Dogg and Cesar Millan (Dog Whisperer).
My whole life changed! I won the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce's Entrepreneur of the Year Award three years in a row and was named an Outstanding Young Woman of America. In 2006, I was honored by the State of California as Small Businesswoman of the Year and in January 2009, I was honored by Pasadena Magazine, a premier lifestyle magazine, as one of their "40 under 40".
I know that surge in revenue was simply due to a little organization, really working my marketing plan and my decision once and for all to take my business seriously and invest in myself and my future.
